1. Information we collect
- Access code. The code you enter (printed in your book or shared via a QR link) to unlock the companion gallery.
- Session token. When you unlock, the app receives a signed session token. It is stored securely on your device and, in hashed form, on our server, so you stay unlocked without re-entering the code.
- Image-access logs. When the app loads a protected image, our server records: the image identifier, a one-way hashed form of your IP address (not your actual IP), the associated access code, and a timestamp. This is used solely to detect and prevent abuse (for example, one code being scraped from many locations).
2. Information we do NOT collect
- No name, email address, phone number, or postal address.
- No precise or background location.
- No contacts, photos, microphone, or camera data (the camera, if used, is your phone's own QR scanner — the app never receives camera data).

3. On-device storage
The app uses your device's secure storage to remember your access code and the server address, so you don't re-enter them each time. You can clear this by signing out in the app or uninstalling it.

5. Image protection and honesty
The companion images are served from our protected server and are not bundled in the app. We apply practical protections (signed sessions, no caching, rate limiting, and optional watermarking). No app can make on-screen images impossible to copy; our goal is reasonable protection and friction, not absolute control.
6. Children
This app is a literary companion to an adult poetry collection. It is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
7. Data retention
Image-access logs are retained for a limited period for security and abuse-prevention, then deleted. Access codes remain valid until they expire or are revoked.
8. Your choices and deletion
Because the app does not collect personal identifiers, there is little personal data to delete. To request deletion of any data associated with your access code, or to ask a question, email support@simhafoundry.ai.
9. Security
Data in transit is protected with HTTPS. Sessions are signed and expire. Access to images requires a valid session. Server secrets are kept out of the app and out of source control.
